well that is disturbing! whatever the case, the child needs help. ironic this mans name is lucy... short for lucifer, the devil maybe? haha if you were just doing this question to be funny, i must say, that finishing touch, with lucy, was great!
but if your serious, i would suggest first, getting the child to a Christian councellor, a pastor or something. because the pastor wont judge the child or her mum, he will help her, wheras a physchologist would just label her crazy and give her some medication. im not saying dont seek a doctor at all, by all means, get her a chek up to make sure she hasnt been sexually abused and stuff like that, but make sure you get her to a Christian pastor as well for counselling and well being.
the whole attacking her doll in the middle of the night thing is very odd. its not normal behavior, and if she is seeing someone that told her to make it, she could either have one of two problems, either:
1) she is seeking attention because she doesnt get enough of it off her parents, or anyone, so she feels she needs to do extreme stuff to get the attention she desires, and she may have resorted to weird stuff, coz on tv she has seen that it sure attracts attention.. or ...
2) a more serious scenario, because of her mum dabbling in demonic games (starting her own religion which doesnt consist of GOD. as in, Jesus,) the mother has welcomed demonic spirits into her home and that "lucy" is actually a demon talking to the child, and by the looks of it, influencing her greatly. its not good, its dangerous, and wether your friend likes Christianity or not, right now, for the sake of her daughter, its exactly what she needs right now. Get a spirit filled born again Christian in that house to get rid of the trash and help this woman understand what Christianity is really about.
Religion sux. Jesus, has nothing to do with religion. People put Him in that box. He has no part of traditionalism and judgementalism. He is LOVE. and right now, He can help that woman and her child.

A bunch of superstitious people on here tonight.
I agree with Ricky The Kid, Timmy b, and awriter2d...you're overreacting. She's a small child with a vivid imagination as small children have. All kids say and do some things that don't make sense to anyone but themselves.
And since no one else asked, I will. What kind of doll is made of cloth and stuffed with cloth? The 'hairy face' could simply be the result of childish picking at something that can be picked at and not mean a thing.

Can you really expect any answers other than the two obvious ones? Demonic Possession or Random Coincidence.
Since you threw this in the religion section, what you are trying to do is ask "Is this girl possesed or contacted by the devil?" but you dont want to come out and say it. If you are a Christian you shouldnt bother asking what this could be, because if you dont have the guts to ASK the question out loud you sure dont have the faith to DO anything about it.
There is also the third option that your friend is playing a joke on you, and counting on your religious beliefs to make you think her child is talking to Lucifer, and then laughing at you for it. Alot. While telling her friends and listening to them laugh. Alot. Like me.

I don't know, for some reason, I sense this is made up by you, if any of what you are saying here is true, you certainly wouldn't post it here, if your friend has been a christian, then something very demonic is taking over, and in case you are serious here is a link on stuff against demons and the devil, I'd get in contact with someone from Bob Larson's ministry in your area. If demonic oppression takes over this woman's life and her daughter's it won't be pretty.

Yikes! I would find that very troubling. I would be suspicious of demonic influence, especially since she apparently mutiliated the doll's face. A man named Lucy? How old is the child?
As attached as she is to the doll, I'm afraid I would take it away and either take it to a dump to get rid of it, or burn it. Something just isn't right with this.
There is no such thing as a "new religion" as they are all based on something ancient. It's just another old religion with a new twist, if you get what I mean.
One is either a Christian, or isn't. Minor doctorinal disputes aside, what is it your friend doesn't like? What is her "new" religion supposed to consist of?
I'd be in prayer for her and her child, and very wary of what is happening.

Sounds like the ghost of a transvestite is having fun. Really kids have wild imaginations.
The real issue is your friend talking about starting her own religion. Think about what religion is: a worship of the Real Living Creator who created the Earth. Religion is not something you can just makeup(except of course for false religions). Whether or not she refuses to believe in Christ or God, they are real. Jesus's death and resurrection has been recorded on 22.000 documents. He appeared in front of more that 500 people when he was resurrected and this has been recorded by people who where there when he was alive. Making up your own idea of God is an insult to everything God has planned. To assume that she has "figured it all out" is highly arrogant. Ask her if she knows how the earth formed. Ask her how she knows what God wants. Humans are so puny-minded. There is no way we can ever truly know the plans of God. All we know is that we were made to Love Him. We know this by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Sounds like a movie plot. Alternate religion based on Satan. Lucifer comes to talk to the kid, demonic possession, etc..
Keep it up, would like to know the ending.
If it is true, the kid needs some help. There could be something a little more down to earth, like child molestation at hand. Take her to a shrink and then go from there.

Wow!!!.....
If you get a dream... Let me look at it for you.... I do dreams and have been for about 20 years now.....
I cannot say if this is a manifestation of someone who has become attached to the girl, or if this is a manifestation of a spirit from a dream.... Either way, doesn't sound good.....
If a dream, then we can take the dream and look for what elements are present and target them that way.....
But, if it is a manifestation of something, we need to determine whether it is the child's imagination or an actual spirit that is influencing the child.....
Hard to tell without a dream.....
I did a dream for a mother whose child dreamt that a spirit was trying to get inside his chest...... it took about 4 hours to determine that it was indigestion from food he mixed together the night before... the food manifesting itself in the form of something he could not see.....
But, I have seen much worse than this.......
What tipped me off about the food, is where the so-called "spirit" was trying to enter..... In a child, they usually will grab the heart portion of their bodies when in pain.... That is the part of the stomach to them that they associate it with..... To us, its the stomach... to them, its the chest......

Ginger,

I just copied and pasted this answer from a similar question: (wow, two in one night, and only a few mins apart)
One of the first prayers I learned as a child, I will entrust to you and your friend and her daughter.
"Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom God's Love
Entrusts me here. Ever this day be at my side, to light
To guard, to rule to guide."
I actually learned it in Ukrainian first, and the literal translation of the Ukrainian version (if I can remember it correctly)
"Angel of God, Guardian of mine
Forever stay by me
Morning, evening, day and night,
Be for me my guide and light" Amen
There's a good one for St Michael the Archangel as well.
I'm sure you can google it.
Say it every evening.

regarding your friend, she's not the first one who has spotted flaws in Christianity and sought other sources to correct them to the point of creating a new religion. let her be.
as for the child, she probably has an imaginary friend. this "Lucy" is either a manifestation of the child's inner-most desires, or an outburst crying for attention. a psychological disorder which can be tended to by a psychiatrist. ask for more details from your friend... how she treats her child, what media is her child exposed to, etc.
