I was to email or turn in a hard copy of a paper to a teacher, that was worth a lot. I decided to email, for convenience. That was about three weeks ago, but he has yet to turn back the paper to anyone. Now as I check my email, I discover I sent it to the wrong email, but Yahoo never notified me that it was a wrong address (That means the address exists right?) So should I talk to him and ask if he got my email of my paper? Or should I do something else (please specify)? If he says he never got the email, should I ask him to let me turn it in now? Would he let me turn it in this late? It's a very important paper. Thanks.

Forward the original email to the teacher. Tell him what you did and then give him the hard copy if he wants it. If he sees that the email was sent on time - that it was just an error on the address, it will probably be ok.
Good luck! Be honest and all should be fine.

First off.. notify him that you emailed it to him. State that you have not received a reply and would just like to know what type of grade you received. If he says he received it but hasn't corrected it great. If he says he never received it, then you should ask him to verify that you have the right address. For the future, I would select the option on your email to save all sent mail, then you could go in and print it out to verify that it was sent. Be sure and apologize and ask for full credit.

First of all, and most important: talk to him as quickly as possible. No matter how angry he gets, or how much he lowers your grade... it will be worse the longer you wait. Trust me, I've learned my lesson.

Now we can't possibly answer the other questions without knowing the teacher. I know teachers who gave full credit as long as you turned in the paper before they returned it to the class. I know teachers who took off 10 points for each day it was late, up to 5 days.

If you talk to him and he isn't reasonable (he refuses to accept it, for example), and it's worth a lot, you can complain. A parent-teacher conference ("my child e-mailed it to the wrong address, I promise") might be enough, to be honest. Most teachers, I find, don't care enough about screwing you over to actually ignore your parents.

I think you should email him and ask him for it back. If he doesn't give it back and you have saved the paper just send it again. If you haven't saved it I think that you should tell the teacher and make him understand and then rewrite whatever parts you can remember or just write it again. I hoped this helped.
