I am sick and tired of eating fast food all the time, so can someone give me any suggestions on what to get at the store? It can either be canned or frozen, Idc. But remember I'm not the safest person with an oven or a stove eye, so I'll definitely be using the microwave. Help if you can .

I bought a can of Manwich Original Sloppy Joes and a pound of hamburger and followed the microwave instructions on the label. It was very easy to make. I heated a bun for 20 seconds on high, and then, spooned Sloppy Joe mixture on it. It was delicious. I had potatoe chips with it. You should be able to find a cookbook with simple microwave recipes either in a store or on the internet. Also, look in the frozen foods section of the supermarket for microwavable meals. There are some good ones. Knorr/Lipton has a variety of rice and noodle sides to make in the microwave. I sometimes make a meal of one of them, and maybe, heat up a canned veggie to go along with it. Sometimes, I make a meal of cheese, crackers, and an apple, or bake a potato in the microwave, top it with cheese and bacon bits, and heat up some mixed veggies to go along with it. Hope some of these suggestions help.

start with some easy food.

pasta with some sauce. today you can find many canned sauces. they are not the best sauces, but for a start you can start with them.

don't use the microwave to cook pasta. just take a pan, fill half with water, heat up, when it is boiling put enough pasta, like 75-100 g of pasta and cook according to how long it says on the packet. if it is not good enough keep it cooking for some more. take the pasta out of the water and mix it with the ready made sauce.

that is one meal.

you can also make your own sauce. i normally chop an onion, and some garlic fry them till golden add vegetables (am a vegetarian) or meat if you want. when the meat is cooked add tomato sauce not ketchup, some sugar and you have some pasta sauce. you can add some curry, salt and pepper for your tastes.

Rice sallads are also easy to make. just chop what like, if you think it makes a good mix.

in rice sallads i do not use leafy sallad such as lettuce. i use paprika peppers, cucumber, kidney beans, chickpeas, sweet corn, boiled eggs, pickled onions, cappers.... practically any thing i have.

you just need to be creative.

so your shopping list would include

rice
pasta
tomato sauce
ready made sauces
canned veggies / pickled veggies
eggs

good luck with your try.

You can boil water...? Ramen noodles are a main staple that I keep in the house because they are cheap, easy and filling. And if you don't like them fixed the traditional way, you can add frozen veggies to them when cooking the noodles.

A frozen chicken breast can be cooked in the microwave, just start it on defrost for about 5 minute. Then on hi power, cook for about 7 minutes.
