I am having one right now, I have tried controlling my breathing, and I am drinking water. I would really like to fall asleep but I can't seem to make this stop. Suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Been there. Breathe and remember that it will pass.
I usually have to throw up to get past an anxiety attack.
Take an antihistamine. It should help the anxiety for the time being.

Then get yourself some medication.

Praying works by keeping you occupied until your body can get back to normal. You could recite poetry or a speech if you don't know any prayers.

The real thing to do is to get a glass of water, sit down and try to analyze what you are feeling.. is there a reason why you are anxious? Is something around you making you anxious? If it is all too much to handle, consider seeking the attention of a friend or family member. Also professional help (therapy) for anxiety can also be helpful.

I don't want to offend you, but I'd really like to pray for you. I hope it's ok.

God,
I ask that You pour Your gentle, healing spirit over this anxious, worried soul right now. Take all the worries and tension away and replace them with Your soothing spirit. May this beautiful person experience a sound sleep and awake tomorrow feeling refreshed and ready to face whatever's in store for the day. Thank You for Your promise to find rest in You through Your precious son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

I have had them a few times, but at first, I didn't know what was going on, so I just started praying. It worked, of course.
