My life will take me where I can guide it to go. The next 40 years will be extremely interesting. Thanks to the scientific method, mankind is acquiring knowledge at an accelerating rate. In less than 10 years we will know twice as much as we know now. In less than 20 years, we will know how the human brain works, and have computers that work on the same principle and scale as the brain. I expect to play a (small) role in that.

All of this will happen against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict between faith and reason, and the conflict between different faiths. I think reason will prevail, but I fear it might not. Either way, I will enter the future with open eyes and open mind, not deluded by wishful thinking.

Life will take me wherever I want it to. It's all in my hands. The future is unwritten and the sky's the limit. Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring and you're in control of only your own destiny. And I plan to live my life as only I know how.

My direction in life is as directed by my actions and my actions alone. There is an influence due to the actions of others but, utlimately, my life moves along a path directed by me. The same answer deals with your second question.
Your point is?

Same place it will take yours, to the end. My future holds the same degree of unpredictability that yours does. There is no god to help you.
