Theres a woman who has a very young daughter, Mommy is not a good person, very selfish and doesn't think about her daughter, I don't like to see her daughter treated this way, and I told one of my friends that if I was in the relationship with her, I would treat the child right, like she was my own, and then my friend said "why don't you". Is it right to be in a relationship where I don't care about the mother, and am just there for her daughter, or should I leave well enough alone. Her mother said she would like to go out with me but..., theres a reason I'm not already. Before you think I want to do this so I can sleep with the daughter or something like that, GO TO HELL. I'm not a sick perverted bastard like yourself. Grow up. I just want to see her raised right.

No way don't do it. if you dont like the mother, your relationship will not be a good one, and you will fight, and the daughter will see this, and it will cause damage. the daughter needs to see an example of a loving father who worships the ground his wife walks on, not someone that is barely tolerated. its good that you care about the little girl, but getting into a relationship with the mother is NOT a good idea, for anyone involved.

While your intentions are good-hearted, you don't want to become "romantically" involved with someone you are not interested in. You don't have to be dating that person to be a positive role model in the child's life. It is unfortunate this person is not a good mother, but step in as a friend. Be sort of a "big brother" figure to the child. If the child is being abused however, please seek legal help in finding her a safer home. Good luck to you.

No, regardless of how selfish the mother is, it still would not be fair to her to fake feelilngs to help the child. But, you should have a sit down with the woman and tell her what you see, and ask if she feels she is doing right by the child.

If she is abusive - you should report it.

you could maybe talk to the mom about your feelings .maybe you could bring up like moving in together as friends to help her .remind her all girls need a father and that there are all different types of families.maybe living with the mom you can help her on her mothering skills for when your not around.
