Can anyon provide me really clear instructions on how to write my short film to a cd or dvd? thanks.

sure place a cd-r . in da drive right hit on da drive hit on explorer a window will open then you move ur movie maker .file to that open window it will have a + on it then from that open window at da .top hit on >> file write these files to cd . a box will open type in .da box name of cd >>> my video files
hit on ok and windows xp burner will burn that file to cd for you

You can start at www.videohelp.com and learn then you need to get a full package software like ulead or cyberlink powerdirector
which has free trial, it will edit and convert your movies to dvd compliant video after that you can author and burn to dvd
