would you enjoy the good times if there were never bad times?
Would you need God if there were never bad times?
Who would you thank for the good times?
If you have hit a time that feels like hell I can imagine you don't like this answer very much.

Bliss is our natural state as souls and it exists in Heaven from whence we came.
Pain exists as a result of bad decisions. It is remedial, not punitive because we learn more from painful experiences than from happy experiences.
Emotions allow us to experience bliss and pain.
I don't believe in Hell.

Truly, what is the difference between this life and either of those afterlives.
So heaven is perfect, it doesn't mean that there is any more Meaning to living there...
Hell would be unpleasant, so people strive to go to the supposed heaven...
Hell is the supposed god's threat...
