Help! My little brother is saying the "N Word" like its common talk and I can't seem to make him understand that by saying it he could get seriously hurt. I really hate him but still he needs to know he can't say that.

The more you show him that this word upsets you, the more he'll say it. He knows it pushes your buttons. Hey, he's a little brother. That's the way they are. It's their job to snitch on you, copy everything you say & do, and find words that annoy you. Unfortunately, if he's not listening to your good counsel about keeping his yap shut, someone will do it for him, relieving you of all responsibility. So, if you've told him, and you've told your parents, your job's done. Let the chips fall where they will. And don't allow him to see that it bothers you. This works well on all the other stuff that he's been annoying you with too. How do I know this? I'm a little sister, though grown up now. <*)))><

Don't hate your little brother try to understand that he is a victim of his culture. By your hating him causes you to send out negative vibes to him which causes him to respond to your suggestions in a negative manner.

Instead, set an example for him to follow, but do it with love and understanding. He will eventually pick up your positive vibes and respond accordingly.

You don't mention how old your brother is, if he is between 5 and 30 just take him to Oakland to some rough neigborhood. He will quickly learn what to say and what not to say.

how old is he? and yeah you need to get him to understand, otherwise someone is going to beat it into him, better you than someone else so maybe you should just find a way, whatever it takes, talk to your parents

You warned him, now step back & see if he keeps on saying it. Maybe he'll just have to learn things the hard way.

ask a black friend of yours explain it. if you don't have a black friend, ask a nice adult that is black. they will intimidate him alittle because he knows it's wrong, and having a blck person tell him why it's wrong should get him to stop.

you just need to flat out take him aside and tell him that he can't say that and that it is offensive.
