While humans are animals there are few things that make us different from the other animals. Much in the same way cats are different than dogs.

Physical (not all of these are unique to humans but the combination of all them is)
Brain size: brains take up a larger mass relative to size
our thumbs
walk upright on two feet
no fur (yes we have a little but not much)
childhood is much longer

Humans are able to use abstract thoughts more proficiently than our animal cousins (math, art, language)
We can refine tools. Other animals use tools, (chimps elephants) but they don't refine them.
Humans can pass on information over many generations

This is not exclusive list, but I believe I have hit some of the most important points

Man has superior intelligence. Man has mastery over dexterity and manipulation of tools. Man has imagination beyond that of animals. Man for the most part has the power of deciding the best resolve to problems by three dimensional thinking.

Animals do not have this same capability. While apes have some means superior than most animals in dexterity and manipulation in handling objects, he can not creatively use them beyond a natural instinct for eating foods.

Ravens have demonstrated problem solving skills - but nothing with as much depth as humans.

Man is different than animals by absolute freewill, imagination + capacity to learn and invent, advanced speech and language development, complex & advanced social structures....,
------ - - - - - - - - ------ - - - - - --- - - - -
THE ABOVE you can use in School - this below however, use at your own risk...., man is completely different than animals, even apes. The skeletal structure is similar but only in the same way a VW is similar to a bus (metal skin, tires, motor, seats, etc). As you know, a VW did not evolve into a bus. Its just a completely different manufacturing process and design.

God's technology created a highly advanced replicating machine of flesh, bone and blood - the physical body of man - which houses the spirit (that part of who we really are inside) and we ride around in this fleshy machine in much the same way where people have dreamed of riding in a Mech-Robots you see in comic books and in some science fiction movies.

Show me a monkey or any other animal that draws detailed drawings, creates actual complex music, composes a song, has a medium of exchange (currency) and offers service and goods for that exchange medium, wears clothes made by itself or by a member of its group/tribe, walks in a vast array of styles, dances with eloquence and I might - I just might buy into the evolution theory. There's more - I'm just keeping it simple.

Physically humankind is still an animal. the only difference is that we are at the top of the food chain right now rather than having to go out to hunt for our food. we have religious systems that say we have Dominion over the animals and plants.

Some say self awareness. We're aware of ourselves in a much more meaningful way than other animals are. We are aware of our own mortality and we do things beyond basic self-preservation skills to avoid it. Once a loved one has died, we are aware enough of ourselves to wish for an afterlife and to have funeral rituals to help that long. This is one of the reasons we have religion. We are aware of how our environment alters how we live. A beaver builds a dam so he can have a safe home, ready source of water, and access to a food source, but if the stream runs dry, he has to move. Humans use dams to prevent streams from running dry. We are aware enough of our own existence to question why we have it and to demand a reason or purpose in it.

god created man and honored him , and make every thing possible to him and created everything for him (even the animals) to make use of everything of it and to help him for living and survival, like its soaf(its hair)---for warming as clothes , its meat--- for eating , its milk ---for drinking, ior to be used in transport ....and sure there are others , so everything in the world u 'll see that man can make use of,
there is no way to have no distinction between man and animal , there is ,
simply , humans are the only creatures that have the ability to think , develop, improve , discover .... and make the world better place.

wish my answer helps u on monday. (:

good luck.

Nothing separates humans from animals. Humans ARE animals. We are a mammalian species of bipedal primates called "homo sapiens."

Many people believe humans are separate from animals because of our superior intelligence, but I think intelligence is just a trait that every animal has, some more than others. Cheetahs and peregrine falcons are superior in speed, elephants and Kodiak bears are superior in strength, and squirrels and jaguars are superior in agility, for a few other examples of superiority. Just because we are capable of more things than other animals intellectually does not make us something foreign to the Animal Kingdom.

Man, unlike any other creature, was made in the image of almighty God. God spoke all other being into existence, but He lovingly fashioned man with HIs hands .Man has a free will and the ability to choose between right and wrong. Man has the gift of speech and most importantly - God so loved man that he gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in man place as a ransom for man's life.

Frontal lobes, which give us the ability to intellectually reason. No matter how smart the smartest dolphin or elephant or whatever is, he still can't do algebra, build stuff, or figure out problems. With that ability to reason also comes responsibility for what we do, which animals really don't have either. All they have to worry about is living long enough to reproduce.

There is none.

A lot of people tend to think that we are above animals. They are just afraid, that to admit that we are also animals would diminish our importance...

Human beings are bipedal primates belonging to the mammalian species Homo sapiens (Latin for "wise man" or "knowing man") under the family Hominidae (known as the great apes).
