Yes bueno means good and is the way that we answer the phone at least in mexico (Idon't know why either) and you can say that a guy esta bueno when he's attractive, that word has all those meanings.

Are you meaning "hot" - temperature or "hot" - good looking?....It doesn't mean hot as a temperature, but if you say something is "bueno" it can mean it is pleasing to you. I would use a different spanish word if I was calling someone hot -good looking- though!

Kim again? ok bueno or buena as badtz says is right, it refers mainly to physical beauty as in "she is hot" "ella esta buena" Ella esta bien buena" and " Ella esta buenisima" al mean the same but to different degrees, we use caliente of course to describe an object or thing that is hot ( to the touch for example ) but it also means horny in Spanish ( a person in dire need of or ready for sex ) at least in Mexico it is like that

caliente means hot. I may have spelled it wrong but I know bueno is good, not hot.

I only know it also means "Hello" when someone answers the phone.

That's what I hear when I call my Spanish speaking friends' houses. They don't say "Hello" they say "Bueno!"

No, caliente is hot (temperature) and picante is hot (spicy).

I suppose it could be used to describe a particularly attractive person, if the local dialect so allows.
