Has anyone been through a trial and have come out a better person? I am asking anyone who has had a crisis of faith and still believe in God.

I have been through many trials in life. The kind that test ones faith. Sometimes, life gets so hard. But I just try to remember when I am down to nothing, God is always up to something! He lifts me up and is always there for me. I have to remember that I am just an old lump of coal.....but I am gonna be a diamond someday! That no matter what my circumstance that once I put it in the hands of the Almighty, He always takes care of it! He has never let me down! He sustains me and renews me everyday. Life is a continuous refinement process, when we are put through the fire enough, we emerge purified and ready to be used for the Lord's purpose. Being tested is never any fun at the time. Let us be mindful at the end of the road, the Lord will be waiting to reward His sons and daughters with a crown and eternal life!

I have been through several trials where I thought "there is no way I can deal with this". Several of them I have made it through and it has made me a better person. One of them is still going on and continues to be a challenge. But I feel like it is also making me stronger (though I sure wish I didn't have to go through with it).

And, by the way, I don't believe in God.

:)

Oh, yes! It's by coming through those trials that I know, dead-sure, that our Father in Heaven is real, and in control, and watching over us in love and mercy. Just like strong steel can only be forged by hammer blows, strong faith comes out of the most severe trials.
Did you you ask this because you are having a crisis of faith? Please, pray to Him who created you and who loves you beyond all human understanding. He won't let you fall away if you keep your eyes turned to Him. You can also e-mail me if you would like to talk.

"Leap of faith" is a well formed way of describing it. To me it means simple that "Somehow it all works out!" There are just too many occasions when innocent people pay the bill and lose their lives or the lives of their loved ones to simply believe that God is behind everything that happens. I don't see any sense or even reality in that particular way of looking at "Spirituality."
Of course, it makes no difference in terms of manifesting anything that I believe it, or that it is, and so I perceive and believe, that, anyway.
But saying and believing that "somehow it all works out" is a way of opening breadth, depth and The Ahh of life and allowing it to grow into completeness.
Of course death catches all of us flat footed, and shock blows away any sense of certainty, but shock also numbs you into a bliss in a few seconds, if the shock is bad enough.
Good question, thanks.

Sometimes it's really hard to keep your faith. I am going through something really difficult at the moment, and I keep praying to God to help me out, but he doesn't seem to hear.
But I have been in really bad situations before, made it through, and yes, definitely become stronger because of it.
Shame you have to suffer to get there so much though!

properly it doesnt take faith to settle for evolution, because it somewhat is fact. And to the guy who suggested that Dawkins stated extraterrestrial beings seeded like on earth: you're a moron. He replaced into pointing out how if panspermia did each ensue, it may be from an alien like race, that had ensue by evolution, no longer from a god. identity is panspermia, it somewhat is utilising a god to flora somewhat of extraterrestrial beings
