Totally normal. Every child goes through this stage, they are discovering things all the time, and at the mirror stage they are realizing that it is really them in that mirror and that they actually can do things that look cool or funny, also they see their expressions and that fascinates them. No worries! All will be fine, and after this stage he won't bother until the girl stage comes along - then this stage will seem like nothing. He will be checking himself constantly!

My son is almost 3 and loves to watch himself in the mirror. He dances and spins and acts crazy. It's perfectly normal. He's learning about cause and effect, plus he probably "cracks himself up." Try playing with him. Peek around his shoulder, or have a stuffed animal do it. Or dance crazy together. My son and I get into hysterics watching each other. He'll eventually outgrow it.

He's fascinated by his image and who isn't?
Most people of every age look in the mirror every chance they get.
Your son is fine.

I think so..he is to the age where he is discovering himself and is facinated by what he sees. I think this is a normal stage and soon he will move onto a new obsession.

As you know he is 3, just let him be~ anyway in Chinese tradition that a baby or small child does chose or contact an item the most, his/her future career or life would be something relative to it.
