1. He wrote for the Israelites.
2. Was his first language Egyptian? The person responsible for his upbringing was his mother (The princess was led by Moses's older tosister to higher his mother as a nurse!)
3. As an Egyptian prince at the time, which language would he have used? Aramean, the language of the general region? Egyptian? There had been a change of dynasties around that time due to external invaders - that's why that particular pharoah was so hostile to the Israelites: he had taken the kingdom away from the line of pharaohs that had been friendly to Joseph and the Israelites' descendents. There may have been several languages involved.

I'd say Adam spoke a language no longer used, but of what nature it was, I have no more idea than the next person. I would say that Moses spoke Hebrew and Egyptian, mainly because the Hebrew slaves retained their culture, and though Moses himself didn't actually write a book, he passed it down oraly, and this would be how it ened up being written in hebrew

Moses did not write in egyption because his writtings were not to the egyptions. At least in the books we have. As far as Adam goes you are right he did not speak the hebrew language but rather what is often called the Adomic language. Considered the pure laguage of God. This language was lost at the tower of Babel. I hope this helps;

Why would he write something in Egyptian if it were meant for the Jews? Maybe he just told them what to write. Maybe Adam only shrugged and whistled.Maybe he used sign language and gave the Lord the wrong finger? Yeah, most likely he spoke English because the Bible sounds best in English as if it were written for it originally. How else would some of it sound like poetry? Yeah well if God had had that much power to reprogram their language than these people wouldn't have ever done anything wrong in the first place. It sounds..........FISHY.

moses lived among the hebrews for a very long time. his own mother was his nursemaid. there is no question that he would have spoken hebrew. as well, the torah was dictated by G-d - if it had been dictated in english, moses would have written it in english. i think G-d is powerful enough to transcend a language barrier, even if moses HADN'T spoken the language. the torah was written in hebrew because that is what G-d wanted it to be written in.

Im sure he picked up hebrew and wrote the books in hebrew, He left egypt as a young prince and then hung out with Jews for 80 more years. So I am sure he picked up the Hebrew, and then wrote the books.

He was in his teens when he went to Egypt, so he already knew the language of his parents, but it was Hebrew. Hebrew developed later, once they settle in the Promise Land. I forget what the language was. A Rabbi told me that once, when I was doing research on the 10 Commandments.

He was raised by his mother, so he learned Hebrew. Remember Miriam said she would find him a nurse.
