I have a dilemma. I want the younger demographics to answer this more from their experiences rather than their opinions. I am in college and am still a virgin. Its not that i haven't had the opportunity but rather because i think it immoral to engage in such without some sort of commitment. Some of My friends, both female and male, think that hooking up at parties is just part of the social environment but i do not think so; not to say that i havent been tempted. I guess i am also afraid of STD's too; although there are steps to take to prevent this but they are not 100%.

So what is your opinion.

My oppinion is that you are a few of the smart loyal and honest men out there and I applaud you for your well train of thought and consideration. I do not feel anyone should look down on you just because you have considered things that for others it doesn't even cross their mind. Continue your great way of thought simply because so many of us fall under pressure especially when being tempted with sex, and drugs. I was also a virgin when I got married and so many friends told me I'd regret it but I've been married for a year and the thought of cheating on my husband because I never had anyone before him never crosses my mind. Not to mention the great respect I got and continue to get from my husband everytime we make love! I'm sure you will find somone someday who is going to also appriciate your well thought in life! Good luck and God bless

I went without sex from February to October of this year, when I was on tour in another country. I survived, and was like hmm, what if I had tried to last before I went on tour? Well my conclusion was that I probably would've been happier had I waited for that one particular special one. So the choice is really yours my friend, I have had sex with girls at parties and those type of girls aren't worth your time also, those girls and guys do all that crazy stuff because they believe it is what everyone else is doing so they do it! If everyone took a step back and was like "know what? Not everyone is doing cause I'm not!" It wouldn't be the social norm and people like you that choose to wait would be the norm. So I hope you hold out for my sake and for the sake of everyone else out there that wishes they should've waited to. Oh I'm a medic too and let me tell you STD's are terrifying! I've seen thier effects first hand in my line of work...

That's great 2 know that a MALE feels this way about sex. When meeting the right person there never should be sex, it should b "love making". U can still go to parties & have fun being loud & even flirty but just becareful about where it leads.

I knew there still R good guys out there, 2 bad I can never find 1!! Where the hell do U hide!

Well i think you are a very rare find.. Stand by your morals here because people like you are very few and far between..
Wait for that perfect someone for yourself.. and then just love them to death..
there is nothing wrong with being a virgin.. that is the way it was meant to be until you got married in the olden days as you kids would call it..
proud of you... hang in there til you find the person that you really love..

I'd agree with you on your thoughts, personally I'd say it's good to save it for marriage... sure some might say that could lead to sexual incompatibility and what not... but if you're truly in love, would that really matter as to how good she is in bed? Sure it might be kinda awkward on the wedding night but most people can figure it out after a while. Remaining faithful is a good trait.

My opinion is GOOD FOR YOU. It is part of a social environment, but I never slept with a bunch of guys in college, nor in high school, and I was very flirty and very loveable and dated a LOT.
STDs are very scary, so is pregnancy.
I just say you know when you will feel that it is right, and don't be pressured.
once again, good for you. who cares if you get made fun of. that is something very special :) Just like me and never taking any drugs! :)

There will never be as many opportunities as there will be in college. If you wanna wait then wait. There's nothing wrong with that, plus you don't want to be the topic of conversation in the girl's bathroom the next morning.

You don't have to go to college and get laid. Unless your want it, there really is nothing forcing you to do it. Maybe some concider it part of socializing, which it is to some degree. But just cause everyone else is jumping off the cliff, doesn't mean you have to.

I think it is very respectable of you to wait for a commitment instead of "hooking up"
Not many people do this now, many just play Innocent and then go sleep around, It is disgusting.
