Are you more likely to pray when things go wrong or do you pray all the time?

I try to pray all the time, but in reality I seem to pray more when times are good. When things go wrong I tend to try to fix things on my own first.Actually that is how God wants it, He expects us to do all we can, then all we know how to do, then give it to Him in prayer.

Pray all the time...what good is a prayer if only you are in trouble?
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
1 Corinthians 14:15 ¶What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
Isaiah 59:1 ¶Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

I pray a lot. But, if I feel like things are going wrong, I pray even more.

I can honestly say that when things are too good that I pray the most because if I don't bad times or trial may come like a Big Mack truck and I have to be ready. There were times when I wasn't ready and my emotions took over and I tried to do things on my own which messes things up and God has a big mess to clean up. I thank God for pray!

Shalom

This is a good question. When I was first saved, I used to pray more when things went wrong. Now I tend to pray more often - all the time, is the goal! Throughout the day, and when I wake up at night.

Rejoice always;
pray without ceasing;
in everything give thanks;
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16

Thanks for the reminder!

I pray more when things are going well, or going badly. In the in-between times I don't take full advantage of the opportunity to pray, I'm embarrassed to admit.

Pray all the time.

PS. That's a very good question. A very thoughtful one I've heard all night!

Yes, I pray for guidance when I am frightened, but I also rejoice when I see the beauty and wonder in my life and I make sure to say thank you with a little prayer.
