After being single for two years, and not even able to get a date, I am starting to become depressed, I would love to go out and able to be around testosterone, however I have a 5 year old daughter and I think when men hear that they run, It is not like I am asking you to pay child support I just want to go on a date, I am an attractive 21 year old, I am smart I have goals in life, I am almost finished with my BA, and about to start my masters, I just can't get a date for the life of me, what do I do?

Something in the language that you use to describe yourself and your situation suggests to me that the 5-year old isn't the main problem. Maybe you are a little too matter-of-fact about your daughter and guys are turned off by that. Maybe you wait too long into the conversation to introduce her...or maybe you're too up-front about it and say it in a way that says, "...so, you got a problem with that?". If you are not absolutely thrilled about your daughter and comfortable with your being a mom, guys won't be either. Could any of those factors be possible reasons? I'd approach some of your male friends that aren't dating prospects (brother, uncle, cousin?) to see if it has something to do with how you are coming off and what first impression you might be making.

Don't sound desperate- do you have friends that would like to set you up??? Or if you dare- try a personal ad and be very, very careful and double date to be safe- until you get to know him- aren't there guys at college- ??? or do you work? There is the library- grocery store- gym- church- art shows- and other places to meet guys- there is one out there for you- and he will have to be special and treat you special- D

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT KOS IS BUT IF MEN RUN EVERY TIME THEY FIND OUT YOU HAVE A KID THEN DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT ALL THEY ARE AFTER IS A TUMBLE IN THE SHEETS ANYWAY. A MAN WILL COME ALONG THAT WILL LOVE YOU AND YOUR CHILD FOR WHO YOU ARE AND NOT WHAT THEY CAN GET FROM YOU.

Find a gentleman, we do not go out with woman for their looks, but rather their heart and generousity, having a child shows that you have these qualities. And when you do find one, he will love both of you with all his heart and soul. Good Luck.

get a babysitter, and go out with yourself, or with your girlfriends, and if you meet a guy that way, don't forget to give him your number... and the fact that you do have a child. if it bothers him, he won't call.
