Yes the strait cable is the best choice on a racing bike. A gyro will actually make the brakes much weaker especially if you have a v-brake. Strait cables are the best choice for racing because they allow direct pull giving you the most powerful stop possible. Unless you have disc brakes which are pointless and hendering on a bmx bike.

First, as quickly as you have a the front brake do away with IT. 2d, rear brakes must be as stable as available. i think you plan by skill of skill of "at once cable" brake that this may well be a component pull or U brake. Neither of those is sturdy for BMX racing for the reason that they've a bent to have basically approximately no clearance between tire and brake probably getting clogged up with airborne dirt and dirt. appropriate for BMX is the two V brakes or cantilevers, the two one among which require bosses welded on the physique.

First, if you have a front brake REMOVE IT.

Second, rear brakes should be as strong as possible. I assume you mean by "straight cable" brake that it is a side pull or U brake. Neither of these is good for BMX racing since they tend to have almost no clearance between tire and brake potentially getting clogged up with mud.

The best option for BMX is either V brakes or cantilevers, both of which require bosses welded on the frame.

BMX racing- you don't even need a front brake and all the pro bmx racing bikes only have rear brakes....front ones are useless for control when you're racing

no bmx needs the most movemnet possible. with the cables the controll is afected by quite a bit. some times the cables jam up the front section of the bike which might cause u to lose control over the bike.
