Outlook Express assigns a file extention of "EML" to all E-Mail attachments. I cannot open them.?

I get error message (no program associated with this file type) What program should I use to open these type files?

Only when you save the extension eml is given.
GO TO TOOLS/ FOLDER PROPERTIES/ FILE extns
and edit select OE to open the eml file.

outlook and quickmail pro are the two programs that I know of.
Note: .EML files are used by other E-mail clients as well. Note: .EML files with "funny" names in multiple folders implies the Nimda worm. OE removes access to attachments using this file extension. However, using forward on the tool bar in OE the attachment shows as an envelope that if clicked opens the attachment (use caution if you do this, it could be a worm). Others have reported that importing the message into Outlook from Outlook Express works to make the attachment files visible. Note: This file type can become infected and should be carefully scanned if someone sends you a file with this extension.

Try to open the file with MS Outlook , MS Outlook Express, or any third party email client. Right click on the EML file, Open With, now choose the email client program.
