Sheepherder..... Yes, it occurred to me don't you ever make general comments? It also occurred to me that they might see my question! I'm not sure they would completely read it.

I do agree Mrssamikeyp that people should not rely on opinion polls for advice but sometimes we are the only advice for a 14 year old that is afraid to go to anyone else about her madness and how she is feeling. We just hope that we can persuade her to go to someone for help, to anyone for help. A lot of times we are that anyone because to teens opinions matters.

I only answer if i can give good answers. I think its a shame that people give quips or snarky comments for answers. I asked a few myself and It always irked me when I had to peruse through those to get the morsel that I spent points to see. I'm not sure how the point system works but I think that they should alow the askers of questions to not award points for bad answers. (if you get points indiscriminantly for answering)

I've also noticed that. There was a question yesterday about a "student who wants to get into [the asker's] pants" and what to do about it. Almost everyone answered with comments on getting arrested and having her transferred out of his class. The funny thing was that the extra info on the question was all about this dog in the dog trainer's class who was always trying to steal the treats out of his pockets...

Thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention that it IS important to read the question, the WHOLE question.

It is dependent. Honestly, often I'm at paintings and do not have time to learn the solutions earlier than posting. I'm curious as to what others say however often I do not wish others to impact what I wish to jot down/say. Sometimes, I will admit, I don't have any concept what the query is speaking approximately and I ought to learn the solutions to obtain a few concept earlier than answering. Ocassionally I'll see/learn the primary reply motive it's going to occur to pop up on my monitor.

But you know what? The problem ISN'T someone not reading a question or leaving a snarky response. The PROBLEM is the Asker believing Yahoo Answers is a good substitute for REAL psychological help or legal help or whatever.

Some of us here really want to be helpful while others do not care. It takes ALL kinds to make up this crazy world. I love the differences in spite of the stupidity.

I do read. There are times when one should stand in the rye and string up some yellow tape, but there are also times when you have to let people live with their consequences. Wisdom is knowing when to do which.

How can you tell a real question from a troll? There are too many cynics who give ignorant answers to what they perceive to be a troll.
