Ignore the idiots that say it's all a bunch of bull. It's not. Not exactly. The trick to reading a crystal is that you're not reading the ball at all. At least not for me. It's used as a focus tool. The ball helps hold the attention of the diviner. Whenever I use mine, I sort of go into a trance and just look at the ball. It keeps my attention focused on what I'm looking for. It's my intuition that has the answers, and the ball helps keep me focused on what my intuition is telling me. That's all. No special button I flick to turn it on and make it work. It doesn't "show" me images, like you are thinking of.

The trick is you don't read the ball. You read the situation, the person you are reading for, yourself.... All forms of divination are simply reflections of what we already care to know. The divining object, in this case a crystal ball, simply allows the person seeking the answer to focus more clearly on the situation at hand. For some, they may actually see something, for others, they know that they are tapping into something greater than the conscious mind. It is up to what you believe - will give you the answers you need. If you trust your friend as a wise and compassionate person, then she might very likely be able to help you. If she is just high on thinking she can tell the future and show off for friends, find your answers somewhere else... like inside you!

Actually there is no trick in reading Crystal ball. It is only a belief of some people have just like any other such science or art say - astrology, palmistry etc. However please read about Crystal ball as mentioned in the Wikipedia -
A crystal ball is a crystal or glass ball believed to aid clairvoyance. It is sometimes known as a shew stone.
History
Celtic tribes, known to exist in Britain as early as 2,000 B.C., were unified by a priesthood known as Druids. Druids are one of the earliest known peoples to have used crystals in divination. It's interesting to note that Druid religion had similarities to megalithic religion of an "earlier" Britain, thus it is possible the first use of crystal divination might have come from them.
Later, during central Europe's Medieval Period (500 – 1500 AD), seers, wizards, sorcerers, psychics, gypsies, fortune tellers, and all other types of diviners also used crystals to "see" into the past, present, or future.
Due to its transparent nature, a natural gemstone called Beryllium Aluminum Silicate (Beryl), was often used in the divination process. Scottish Highlanders termed these objects "stones of power." Though early crystal balls were made from Beryl, they were later replaced by rock crystal, an even more transparent rock.
Art of scrying
The art or process of "seeing" is known as "scrying," whereby images are seen in crystals, or other mediums such as water, and are interpreted as meaningful information. The "information" gleaned then is used to make important decisions in one's life (i.e. love, marriage, finances, travel, business, etc).
When the technique of scrying is used with crystals, or any transparent body, it is known as crystallomancy.

Develop psychic ability with crystal ball gazing. As in all cases always master the art of relaxing and bringing your brainwave frequencies down to the alpha and or theta levels, the gateway to the subconscious and psychic realms.
It will not matter if your crystal ball is quartz crystal, lead crystal or plain old glass. For that matter, you may use this exercise for mirror or any other scrying you want to try. Gaze into the crystal ball and start by ‘imagining’ a character, person, angel or cartoon is in the center of the ball............... http://www.psychic-junkie.com/develop-psychic-ability.html
Here’s a real crystal ball used every day by a professional psychic, (me) now filmed for your focus and attention. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/ask-the-crystal-ball.html

There's no "trick".
Other than a parlor "trick".
The only thing you can see in a crystal ball is a distorted picture of whoever is sitting across the table from you.

be careful
Some people are spiritual gifted enough to do this, heck I can do it, without the ball.
SOME are very good at tricking people, they are clever enough to read you, or feed off hinds that you feed them, it's mostly good guess work, especially if they know you, or they know one of your friends that may feed them information. I don't put my faith in that stuff, God has done more for me in one day then she can.
God has gave you a gift, seek it and do wonders:)
Inteleyes........ God Bless you
