After reading some of the responses, I just want everyone to know that I am not an immoral person. Merely wondering if, during the holiday if it was "Off Limits". Noticed I used to the term "mentally challenged" versus the not-so-politically incorrect. Thanks for the answers.

I think it is socially rude. If you had a family member with such a problem, how would you feel if someone mimmicked them? To make fun of others who are less fortunate is not nice or fun. Would you really like to be mentally challenged? Dress up like someone you would like to be....a super hero or the pope...If you want to be like someone different, find a cartoon character or someone popular & famous...

It's very wrong. Halloween is suspose to be fun and you should bring out your creativity. Dressing like someone who is mentally is not funny.I think it's cruel. Don't make fun of others b/c you children may be mentally chanllenge....

Yes, as they can not fully function in society based on something they have no control over. If you, or someone you else you know had such an impairment you would be very insulted.

yes, it would be the same if someone wanted to dress up as you for Halloween, kind of rude considering Halloween's whole dressing up is based on a scare tactic.

Well if you have to ask this question, then I am sure we can make a special exception for you, as you are less intelligent then the individuals you wish to make fun of.

Yes. Not nice. What if you were handicapped in that way? Think of the other people it may hurt.
