My friend's daughter locked her keys in the car, when the police unlocked the car the alarm went off and now the car will not start.
it is a factory alarm on a Toyota. Does anyone know what we have to reset or do to get the car to start again? Thank you for any help.

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes to allow the system to reset itself, if that doesn't work check your manual or a Toyota Dealer.

if disconecting the battery for about 5 sec. does not work, you may have to call the dealer depending on how new the car is, they may have to reset a code
