If he doesn't have one and the price is in your reach a computer would be the best thing to start him on. Get him games and educational stuff. Everyone will have to know computers, and there is no better time to start him than six.
I have brought my grand children ;
A telescope even the six year old loves,
A karaoke set which him and his mom sings on together, and now the girls are beganing to try to join them in childrens songs.
A bicycle
An art set for both sexes.
Videos for kids and education
Music videos
Bible videos if you are religious
another good gift is a set of scockets and wrenches for him to keep and learn on and work on his bicycle with dad:):).
tools are so cheap it's a waste to buy toy tools for a kid who'll be 7 next year.
A fishing set is an excellant gift for a child.

Swing gadgets are large, yet certainly at that age you not in any respect can tell what they'll take to. He in all likelihood has an obsession with something, correct? maximum boys that age do. automobiles, dinosaurs, airplanes, trains, dogs, and so on? i'd locate something to do with that. It doesn't might want to be expensive. My son has various acquaintances all age 18-24 months and they seem to love something with wheels. They love the Little human beings autos, fairly the college bus. Or the Mega Block Wagon crammed with blocks. Does he already have a Radio Flyer Wagon? all of them love being pulled around the community in those!

What's his favorite thing to do? Which toy does he play most with? Is he into sports? Art? Books? Video games?

u have to know what he likes. mine liked and still likes bionicle by lego. i personally think it is stupid and ugly, but there is no better toy than bionicle for him. for some kids it might be trains, for some cars, u may observe with what he is playing more. or u might take him to store and put in toys department and see what will attract his attention more. but don't ask here adults, adutls know nothing about toys
