It sounds like you may be talking about faith.
Grace is God sharing His life with us. The results of this grace are faith. In order to have faith, there must be adequate evidence of something, though not complete evidence. Faith is what allows us to take that final step between belief and unbelief.

Hmm...you sure think of the deep ones, don't you?
No....I guess my answer is no. But one person's definition of adequate, even overwhelming, is another's definition of insanity.
When I believed, trust me, it wasn't what I wanted to do. I couldn't stand the thought that I had been wrong and God had been right, but...too bad. I had to face the truth.

I don't think that I do believe in anything without adequate evidence, but I don't think that act alone is virtuous.

no , iv heard Christians say that if all these things are true in my religion i must be the stupidest person on the planet to believe it, and its hard not to agree with them.
i believe in E S P and i had no proof in it for years, but with persistence, and observation, i come to the conclusion that it is real , and that most people can , use it.

Christianity prides it self on faith, Jesus told Tomas that-he should believed in Jesus with out seeing the results , that people that need to see results were no good.
i don't think Jesus was perfect, and i believe he screwed up on this point, like he screwed up , on that the --kingdom of god was coming in his life time and that he would rise from the dead.screwed up on that one big time .

No, that's why I'm so glad there's more than adequate evidence for me to believe in God.

I assume you're speaking of God? Perhaps the bible? Well, Jesus said this to Thomas....."you see and believe, but blessed are they who do not see, and yet believe". Certainly, believing in the claims of Jesus Christ as true, we will receive a blessing.

All beliefs should be held as provisional. Absolutism leads to ignorance and irrationality.
