If we knew, we would all be rich! Like what happens after we die, I wish I had the answer. But perhaps the meaning of life is how you lived it and what you made of it.

The life of a human being is legally defined as the interval of time after birth and before death. Since humans are the only living beings that I have ever been able to consult with regarding meaning in life, I will keep my focus directed toward human life in particular. Our lives actually begin before we are born, when sperm fuses to egg and the blastocyst thus formed begins to grow. Growth seems to be a strong theme throughout a human life and much of life's meaning might therefore be said to relate directly to growing. I believe it is proper to use the same idea- that of growth- to describe both the physical processes whereby a human increases its size and strength and also the mental processes whereby a human increases its knowledge. I think we can also apply the word "growth" to a human's emotional maturing and in gaining the ability to care for other humans. I find it very reasonable then, to say that life is for growing- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Or that the meaning of life is a process of growth.
