I have backpacked and camped all my life, you don't have to bath while on a trip. When you get out make sure you have new cloths and deordorant waiting. If you want to stay clean you can bath in the water and if it is too cool out there is a saop that you don't need water. Just rude onto skin until it is dry. Ask for it at your local camping store.

Depends on the time of year here in Pennsylvania and the facilities. When me and some friends used to go dirt bike riding and camping in the Poconos, we would jump into fresh water ponds for a bath, but in 1991 we were up there in the dead of winter for three days and I only brushed my teeth in the three days I was there. Assateague Island in Maryland has little shower stalls for those who choose to camp on the bay side but the better ones are on the ocean side campsites. Now I use solar heated bladders and a shroud for a shower. I don't do the family type of camping, I like survival camping with a slight touch of comfort.

It depends. In mountains and country with rivers, you can always jump it, although it can be really cold. In desert country, you're out of luck. If you make it out to civilization, or stay in campgrounds, there are often showers or similar facilities. Some travelers will camp for two or three days, then check into a cheap motel to clean up for the next part of the journey. Still, you do get stinky.

My son, my best friend and I just went camping about two months ago. He asked the same question. My answer to him was that he wasn't getting near me after two days if he didn't. It was his first time bathing in a creek.
Watch out for leeches and other various critters... depending on your campsite.

I don't go camping very often, and this may be part of the reason why.

If it's warm enough, I will jump into the water and wash the dirt off, but I don't use soap.
