As most everyone else says, it could possibly be the Prozac giving you the weird dreams. I know that when I was taking it, it messed me up worse than what I was before.
Another theory that you might consider is that the counseling is bringing things out of you that you have never dealt with before. Perhaps there is anger towards your mom or your sister that you haven't dealt with yet. Or, your mom and sister could represent a part of you that you are learning to deal with. Murdering them could be symbolic for killing that old part of you and starting fresh and new again.
Are you seeking God more at this time in your life? If so, perhaps your dreams are showing you your own immortality--life after death, living forever with God.
Keep a diary of your dreams. Keep a pen and pad next to your bed and when you have a dream, wake up and write down everything you remember before getting out of bed. THen, go through the dream and ask yourself questions. Describe the objects and then see if there is anything or anyone in your life that is like or acts like the object. Describe your feelings and then determine if there are situations in your life that make you feel that way.

>>>Oh and just so you don't think this is all just mental problems let me fill you in on a few things. I am seeing a counsler and a phycaritst, i am on prozac and i have been having these dreams for some ten years>>>
The very fact that you're seeing a counselor and a psychiatrist -- plus the fact that you're on prozac -- makes it even more likely that your dreams might be the result of some psychosis.
Have you talked about these dreams with your counselor or psychiatrist? If you haven't, it would be a good idea to do so. They might be able to help you.

You say in your dreams you kill your parents and your sister. Maybe this is your subconcious's way of telling you to get away from them. They're probably draining your energy or not good people to be around. If you've been dreaming this for the past ten years, you might also have been harbouring resentment towards your family. Something's gotta change. Are you old enough to move away from them and get a place of your own? Is there a friend or a relative you can stay with?
If they're not negative towards you in any way, they may just be, unknowingly, slowing you down or prevent yourself from acheiving your goal of being YOU.
Or maybe you just need to "kill" the influence or effect they have on you.
If your relationships with others is a significant part of your dream, then it's time to analyze your relationships with those people, to see if it's right for you.

Hi Andy, I took Prozac for a while and had to stop taking it. It has been documented the Prozac can cause anger. I speak from experience. While I was on the med, I had frequent feelings of anger over the most inconsequential things. Ask your psychiatrist about this.
I have no idea if God is trying to tell you something. I quit trying to figure God out long ago. He is who He is. If you believe in God (and I hope you do) and you pray, keep on praying. God can see you through anything.

Just to let you know that Prozac has been scientifically proven to increase suicidal tendencies. These dreams could be a side effect of the drug you are taking. However, most dreams are in some way telling ourselves (subconsciously) what we cant deal with consciously. Therefore, you may have some "unresolved" issues with your parents and sister. If you could think of what could be unresolved and try some how to fix or mend the issues, it might help sub do your dreams.
Hope this helps....Also try talking to your counselor about these dreams...

Go google "nightmares and prozac"
There's a start.
Yuck.
Anti-depressants, especially Prozac, should only be given in EXTREME cases, when counseling doesn't work, or if you've been tested for the chemical imbalance that they are supposed ti fix.
That said,
Make some time, even if it's 5 minutes a day, to pray, or read the bible.
Maybe, in that time thinking, you can find the root of what's bothering you, and a way to fix it.
Start a nighttime routine.
Bath, prayers, relaxing/happy music, make your room smell good, don't eat anything that may upset your stomach.
The Lord's Prayer always helps me. I recite it over and over, untill I fall asleep, and usually I have good dreams. (I'm not even THAT much of a religious person)
Good luck, and all my prayers are with you.
Sheena

Dreams are literally bits and pieces of EVERYTHING you have ever seen or thought, put into a story form. You dream about whatever is on your mind. You have very easily verbalized your thoughts here, so I take it YOU think about this a great deal.
Dreams just work this way. You can go visit someone you have not seen in a long time and if you then think about that person or keep them on your mind, you will incorporate them into your dream along with your worry or your concern in regard to them, mixed with whatever TV program or Movie you have seen recently.
I went to the ocean for the first time years ago and was thrilled and awed by the power of the water and the size. In about a month after visiting, I began to dream regularily about water trapping me on a bridge and this awesome feeling of power all about me. It was just me making a story out of my feelings.

You know my sister had weird dreams when she was on Prozac too...I think it's a side effect. I do know that God can heal anyone of depression (if that is why you are taking it). I can tell you one thing for sure; if you accept Jesus as your savior, and begin living your life according to God's word in the bible, you will have nothing to fear anymore, for all of eternity, including your dreams.

You either ...
Are hearing directly from God, which I doubt because you don't seem to grasp the meaning of the dreams. God is pretty direct, He's not going to be so obscure you don't even know what the heck He's talking about lol
Or you are on medication, which you are, which can cause bad dreams,
Or you are trying to mentally rid yourself of bad memories, sort of like your brain taking out the trash.

Yes God can help you with anything at all, have you tried prayer yet?You can petition him regarding any problem you have at all. But you have to address the only true God Jehovah no other God will hear you in the name of Jesus God's son but not to Jesus as he is our mediator betwen us and Jehovah God ,if you can pour your heart out to him, he is always ready to help you, But God does not go through dreams these days, because dreams are interfeared with by demons and satan, Your best possible course is to talk to the true God he is there for anyone who seeks him, for he is seeking the humble ones tho seek him and love himbecause he can fix the worlds problems and he will shortly(Revelation21:4 I encourage you to read the scriptures below in the last book of the Bible, and then talk to him, Plsalm145:verse16) hope that helps Those 2 scriptures are dear to my heart!
