First mistake, having her sleep with you. Invest in a crate and put her there overnight. It's called crate training and works great.

1) there is nothing wrong with sleeping with your pet UNLESS your pet has resource guarding behavior or space issues which cause aggressive behaviors - then they should sleep in a crate

How old is the Yorkie?
Do you live in a very active area?

She might be alert barking leading to fear barking depending if she has neophobic issues and/or sound sensitivities.

You will need to have a professional determine the motivation or causation for the barking so that you can treat the motivation and not just the symptoms.

Dogs usuall "don't listen" because a) they aren't properly trained b) they have social deficits. If your dog is barking extensively and intensively then it might be having anxiety or fear behaviors.

Regular obedience training isn't going to help you much especially if your dog is alreayd over-threshold and reacting. If the dog is barking it's head off then you are too late to "train" it. Your in damage control at that point. So you'll need to identify the triggers and then try to approach helping the dog by reducing it's anxiety, fear or - maybe it's just very alert.

I agree with the crate training. My dog does great sleeping right next to us in it. It took a few weeks for her to get used to it but it is working great now.

sounds like too much energy. she needs frequent walks. she's little, so frequent walks instead of long distance. but at bed time it's essential. long walk, bed, lights out. my boys settle down in their room once all the lights are out. they're last walk (this is referring to my 2 younger dogs, not the 2 older), is a minimum of 30 minutes, with a 10 minute play time in the middle of a parking lot. 15 min. down, 10 min of play, 15 min. back. they're happy to go in their room and settle down.

Obedience school. You could also buy a book about yorkies with great training tips in it.
