We are getting a new digital camera soon, and we found one we really like, but-IS PHILIPS A GOOD BRAND?

Philips is a very good electronic brand. However, I didn't know that they made digital cameras. I have never ever seen them reviewed on any of the various camera review sites that I look at, so I would be extremely skeptical.
It's best to choose well-known brands that have been making cameras for some time.
My top pick would be Canon.

I spent $1,700 on a Philips LCD TV. Worked for a month. Spent the last 6 weeks in the repair shop. Philips customer service doesn't really care. Now I'm hearing horror stories from others about Philips! Go for Olympus, Kodak...Kodak makes an awesome digital camera pictures unbelievable and camera reliable! Good luck!

Stay with the very known brands in photo...Canon, Nikon, and Olympus.

Phillips is a well-known brand, they just didnt appear yesterday, i would trust them.
