As of this moment Haggards sins do not include child molestation. I do not support his sin or anyones elses sin.

What i do support is the fact that now that he is coming to terms with his sin, he can begin the road to recovery. This very will could have been exactly what God knows that he needed to be able to start his path anew and walk with God again.

He had stepped down from leadership roles and is once again just like the rest of us, learning and seeking Gods will and way in our lives.

If we threw every sinner under a bus, there would be no one left to drive the bus over the last sinner.

The question should be why do Christians defend the child molesting Haggard. Not all religious leaders molest children, in fact im sure very few of them do. And besides, we're all sinners. God sees all sin as the same. There's no "really bad sin" or "ok sin," it's all evil in God's eyes. We can lie to our parents or molest 100 children, it doesn't matter to Him. He would forgive us all the same.

I don't know any Chrisitans, but I doubt that anyone in their right mind would defend a child molester, so your question doesn't make much sense. Also, throwing someone under a bus is not nice, I don't care what their sins are.

They should not be defended at all. They should be put in jail for their crimes. They should be 20 or 30 years more than the usual offenders. They should be held to a higher standard. But I did not know that Haggard molested any children. I thought he was accused of having sex with a prostitute. And please do not forget, he has been tried yet. Only accused, and by a criminal, a male prostitute.

You didn't specify which religion.

Anyway, child molesting religious leaders are defended by their religious organization because if proven guilty, the incident becomes an embarrassment to the organization and they definitely will lose credibility with society.

Peace.

I agree with you that any type of Molester should be put out of this world, However the bible teaches us that we are not to judge anyone, we are to turn all sin, problems over to the Lord.........The problem with that is we are humans do not live by faith alone, so when we turn it over to the man, we in fact do not...........that is why we have a law system that should treat them at least as badly as they have treated say a child or whom ever but they do not..........the Christians on the other hand and I am one of them want to save the sinners.........I can tell that I have a problem saving child molester as they cannot be healed I feel..........

First, throwing anyone under the bus would be the sin of murder.

I am not aware of anyone defending the behaviour of child molesters. And under law we are all entitled to due process before any verdict can be handed down.

Are you without sin? If so then you may judge.

I don't know of any Christians who defend such behaviors. Christians are as repulsed by such behavior as anyone else, probably more so. As for Mr. Haggard, I believe he is innocent until proven guilty beyond any reasonable doubt? Incidentally, almost all cases of such behavior among religious leaders has NOT been actual pedophilia, but homosexual advances toward adolescent boys. The liberal secular press prefers to call it "pedophilia" in order to produce an emotional response, and in order to avoid negative references to homosexuality, the support of which is one of their pet agendas.

Just who, exactly, is defending child molesters?

Did Ted Haggard molest a child? I thought it was a gay adult male. His own church board threw him out. ( As well they should )

Why are you accusing him of child molestation?

Is it because in order to truthfully slander him, you would be forced to take the position that homosexuality is wrong?

Why are YOU being dishonest?

We dont defend them we actually pray for God to make justice which he will. But you think we defend them because you are seperating us from unbelievers therefore you are sayin that only christians sin when you have to see that you sin as well. Itslike If I said Hitler killed a bunch of people and he was atheist or didnt believ in god.Trust me God is Just look at Hitler did he accomplis the devils plan to wipe out Gods chosen people nope.
