i really dont think thats a requirement.
As long as you benn in USA for 5 years after you take out time that you been out of the country

The age doesnt matter. If it is for a child the parents have to apply and meet the requirements, which are depending on the situation. Like being married to an American citizen would be 3 years being in the USA. Adopted orphans from american citizen parents no waiting period at all. Green card trough lottery, work visa... 5 years. You've got to take a test in american history, you have to proof your loyalty to the USA, clean criminal history and a minimal basic of the english language. You also have to go to an interview at the USCIS office.

I believe that one must currently be eighteen years of age and must have demonstrated other requirements, such as a basic working knowledge of English and U.S. History.
