Hi there...natural laxatives for pet animals is canned pumpkin (not the pumpkin pie variety as these have spices) or butter. If a cat hasnt' eaten much they will not have a bowel movement for up to a day and a half. Depending on what he accidentally ingested this may require assistance of a vet. Consider at least to ring them and discuss this over the phone to see if a natural laxative is enough or if a visit is required as some items accidentally ingested can be lethal.

[edit] 5mm are small enough where he could possibly pass them. You can try the natural laxatives, but I'd still consider at least ringing your vet to get further suggestions or if they feel it's very necessary to have your cat seen. If you cat hasn't had a bowel movement for a couple days this would merit a trip to the vet and many vets require advance appointments so it's best to ring them to make one as soon as possible. You can always ring back to cancel if your cat has a bowel movement from now until the appointment.

You need to use cat hairball remedy. This is a sticky oily substance that will cling to what is inside his stomach and help glide it out. It is safe. And if it still doesn't work, he will need to see a vet because if you can't make a bowel movement (person or animal) your body will shut down and you can die.

The best thing to do is call your vet and see what he/she says. You don't want to be fooling around with your cats health especially if you know that he has consumed a foreign object. They won't charge you for the call and you may save your cats life!

If he ate rubber you really need to take him to the vet to at least be checked out.

if your vet isn't worried, then that's in all probability superb...my cat had something comparable....he abdomen button caught out...however the vet instructed us it became a hernia...perhaps your cat in basic terms has an "outie"!

Pumpkin. And they usually love it. Also laxatone which you can buy from the vet is good.
