i was wondering since my parents are divoreced and i have a step dad but will there be any long-term effects.like i live with my mom but i see my dad often..will there be any effects relating to relationships,insecurity or any of that without a dad being around all the time?

Just because your father does not live in the same house as does not mean he is not in your life or a part of your life.
Do you and your new step dad get along.? Think of what a wonderful thing it will be to have two men in your life that will be there to protect to you and love you and two men that love your mother. Even tho your father is no longer married to your mother he still loves her and was once in love with her.
Your step father and your father are and can be wonderful role models for your life. Good or bad that will help you see life and what a life you want or dont want.

Dad's are the best, there's no denying that however in terms of your development, what you need is to have regular contact with a positive male role model, be careful who you think is beneficial. it's hard when parents split but as long as you still have time with both sides and as long as you don't get parents dragging down each other or if you don't get bitter you should be find

not if you have a good step dad and dad everything will be okay. because they both can be there for you. but if u dont have a good relationship with your step dad you might have some problems im just saying this because my child has a step dad and loves him like hes his dad but my step son isnt okay with me being around because he wants his mom and dad back together. so it all depends on you and your father and step father best wishes to you.

I have a very extended family and as long as they love u and u accept them everything will b fine. In many ways youre lucky for a more ppl who are willing to b there for u in life
