I think the word you are looking for is typical christian.

Looking past the beam in their own eye to point out the speck of dust in the eye of another.

Love and blessings Don

I don't really understand the play on words that you are using in your question. I might be incorrect, but I am guessing that your comment is meant to be taken in a mocking manner.

If you are honestly asking about the condition of this man's soul, the answer is that no one besides God and Mr. Haggard can answer that question. As humans we can only judge a person's actions based upon what the Bible states is right and wrong. The Gospel of John and the Book of Romans (and other scriptures) clearly point out that a person becomes a Christian by realizing that he, or she is a sinner, repenting and believing/accepting Jesus Christ as there savior (Romans 3:23; 5:12; 10:9 and John 3:16). If Mr. Haggard has done these things then he is a Christian.

The most important question for you should be the condition of your soul, not the condition of Mr. Haggard's. If you are a Christian I would hope that you condemn the man's actions, but pray for his soul. If you aren't a Christian, I pray that your heart be opened to Jesus Christ.

we can't bypass around asserting that Mr X became a real Christian, yet Mr Z became no longer because of the fact of blah, blah, blah. I many times comedian tale approximately who's in fee of certifying "genuine" Christians and the thank you to receive certification. for this reason. If Ted Haggard reported he became a Christian, then who am I to declare in any different case? That being reported, there have been years that I called myself a Christian, yet I knew I wasn't.

A Christian is a person who follows Christ, but just because a person claims to be a Christian doesn't mean that they really are. I can't speak for Haggard's spiritual life up to this point, but he definitely needs some major spiritual adjustment to get back to following Christ. For that matter, check out the entry about Haggard that I just posted on my blog.

Ted Haggard is a man. He is a man that chose the right path, strayed from it and if wise he'll get back on the right path again.

I do believe in God no matter if a man fails to live up to God's word. Though I'm not a fan of Ted Haggard, I am a fan of God and the word of God.

I believe that it is entirely possible for a person to believe whole heartedly in God and God's word yet fail to live up to it.
If most people were honest, they too would realize that we've all failed to abide by God's word in one area or another.

Ted Haggard did right by resigning till this situation is long behind him.

If you get satisfaction out of labelling people thus, you are indeed a lost sheep. I know you're not interested in a "true" answer, or any answer at all, but the fact is that if Mr. Haggard sincerely repents and asks Jesus to forgive him, his sin--all of it--will be taken away. The same absolution is available to you, by the way.

If he's been living this life all the time, then he's a believer who doesn't know how to recognize his deliverance, how to live a victorious life in Christ Jesus. He's bound by sin and needs delivering. Any "true" Christian can fall, but it's all in what you do when you get up. Do you go back to the same thing? If you truly have the love of God in you, you don't do it. If you do, then you have a faith problem and need to get it right.

Well, I don't think a true Christian would engage in such activity, and then lie about it. I don't think that's what Christ meant, when he said, "Love one another." (!!!)

Christ had a word, for those who paraded around, trying to show how "religious" they were, because they prayed in the streets where everyone could see them: "vipers".

As He said to the adultress: "...Neither do I condemn you...Go forth, and SIN NO MORE..." (emphasis added)

"Christian" for sure. Well a self proclaimed "Christian". I just like the quotes. Any way, I think that he thought he was doing an alright thing.
