there is a possibility of bacterial contamination in the milk if the milker does not clean the equipment and the cow's udder properly and or if the milk is not refrgerated immediately. Most of th etime if you go directly to the farm to get it it'll be fine for anyone with a healthy immune system.

Once weaned we should not be drinking milk at all. Dairy producers over the years have found that we humans like our cream, butter, yogurt, cheese and other products from very rich milk. In turn cows have been bred to produce a milk so rich, then can not suckle their own calves with it. Their babies are taken away at birth and artificially fed. If you can not give up milk altogether then the lower the fat content, the less damage it will do to your system. The food we eat gets used to repair and restore every part of our body, it is known that fat is not good for this purpose. The build up is gradual and by the time the problem with the body is found, repair may be too late. There are loads of medical sites on line which will explain things like heart disease, arterial damage and high cholesterol. Fat is a major contributor to these medical problems and more besides.

The only problem that I would see is if the cow was sick. Most people who sell raw milk do so with cows that have been tested. You can get raw mild from many health-food stores and it is usually of good quality. It's great because you can still get the cream on the top, like when I was a child at my grandmother's house. As long as you don't drink too much, it's quite healthy. Just make sure that if you switch to raw milk that you get ample vitamin D.

HEY milk wont make u fat. Bought Regular milk is 3.8% fat and reduced fat has 2%. not much difference. Its lifestyle that'll make u fat. The harmful effects of raw milk is that it hasn't been thru the processes for killing bacteria. Although it doesn't affect some people with stronger stomachs

I assume you mean "raw" milk as in milk that has just come out of the cow before having been through the pasteurization process. You'd probably get stomach cramps and diarrhea from the bacteria in the milk.

If the cattle that you are getting the raw milk from are not feed all the hormones and junk they feed livestock the milk is much healther than processed or pasturized milk. Just for you information though our bodies digest goat's milk much better. The enzymes in goat's milk are already half broken down.
