fake brick. If it is a really expensive house, then it is "faux bircke". It is a man made wood/ paper siding

They probably mean brick and Masonite. Part of the house has brick veneer, perhaps three sides of the house and or the fire place. Masonite is siding that looks like wood planks, can be either in strips or 4' x 8' sheets. Masonite is like pressed fibers, brown in color with a brownish or tan primer. Doors, windows, corners, fascia boards, etc can also be Masonite. Hope this helps

Fat is right. Painting will fade and chip away in a few years. Why don't you try pressure washing it and see if it will look any better? (maybe a good cleaning is all it needs, the brick) Change out the shutters to a different color and match the door to the shutters. Keep it neutral. Don't have a different color door and a different color on the shutters. Tacky looking if you ask me. Maybe take some pictures and post back or you can email me and I can tell you what might look best. :-)
