Anyone know how to get a chewing gum made?

I have a chewing gum that I am looking to have made...does anyone know anything about this?

Factories that manufacture gum? Stateside or foreign?
What else do I need?
Do I need a chemist if I want to do such a thing?

All I am starting out with is the actual idea for the gum, nothing else. Any advice you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.

Oh dear, this is a long, tough and very expensive road. First of all before I attempt to answer your question, do you have the necessary funds for such a venture? we are talking million of dollars here? second, did you go through any qualitative and quantitative research the proves your idea will sell well with the consumers?

Gum manufacturers are usually big multi-national firms with dozens of other products including chocolate, buiscuits etc. Gum is only one of their products. Since you do not have the experience, you need to contact a manufacturer and hope they would rent you a production line because they can simply steal your idea and do it themselves. You can not manufacture gum at home and even if you can, you need a distribution company to sell it for you in order to reach a mass scale. I am pasting a link below about gum manufacturing.
