What I mean is, how do you make decisions? Does God whisper in your ear? Do you hear voices telling you what to do with your life? When my dad got married last, he told us it was God's will that he do it. Well, how did he know?

I understand exactly where you are coming from! I mean, its sounds kind of silly that people claim "its the will of God" when they are making decisions. How would they know?? It's not like God told them! Yet, being a christian myself, what "doing the will of God" means in my life is simply following the principles laid down in the bible, and following the way Jesus himself lived. When you do these things, the decisions of everyday life become trivial, because you are so "in tune" with the bible and the way God wants you to be living. Prayer is also a huge part of knowing how to make decisions. Unfortunately, not many christians live this way, and no matter how hard we try, its impossible to live perfectly, but we can only try our best. Hope this helps! God bless you. :)

If you have a relationship (and not just acquainted with Who God is), His Holy Spirit is your guide, which is why He left the Holy Spirit here with us. One has to be obedient to the voice of the Lord, many times we aren't. When the Holy Spirit speaks to you, it's just like the voice of someone else speaking to you, loud and clear and He's there to lead you into all acts of righteousness. Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot live this life victoriously, meaning we will commit all kinds of acts of unrighteousness.

It just means you're saved and you get a free pass on Judgement Day. You can go ahead and sin if they're not big sins. As far as knowing what God's will is, don't worry about it, you're already saved; and you can tell that to your dad, assuming he's saved.

When you except God into your heart, He speaks to you through your heart (and not your heart literally) or through your soul. This is how decisions are made, through prayer and keeping yourself open to His answers....listening. It's easiest to liken to a parent child relationship... you ask your father and he answers... sometimes yes, sometimes no, sometimes with a solution you would have never thunk.

When you turn your life over to GOD you feel cleansed, not wanting to turn back to your old self. GOD guides you and will see you through everything, you can talk 2 him, he is always there listening, and you will not only hear him, but you will feel his presence.

You will be a tolerant, non judgmental, compassionate, forgiving person who works for social justice and peace throughout the world. If you are all those things, you know you are listening to God.
