looking for anything serious? I am not looking for a guy to just date or have a casual sexual relationship with. I am looking for a man who has marriage as his relatioship goal but I know I can't just come out and say that or even mention it in my ad. I don't want to waste time on any guy who isn't looking for the same thing. I am over 40 and am ready for a committed relationship, not some perpetual causual relationship.

I've seen a lot of ads where guys stated they were looking for something serious, potentially permanent...I've also seen plenty where guys were clear they were just wanting to have fun so there are those that spell it out...others, if a guy contacts you (or you inititate contact) ask him...it's okay to ask what someone is looking for or hoping for...

You are right though in not putting "marriage minded" in your ad, but also do make it clear that you are only seeking serious relationship potentials...

If you're not clear on what someone desires by reading their profile or ad, then ask...sometimes a person may not be seeking something serious, but would be open to it if they met someone they felt was the "right person"...touch on the subject before deciding to meet or date, that way you may be able to rule out some of the guys that aren't on the same path that you are...

Good luck!

Look for what he DOES say. "serious relationship leading to marriage" and the like.
