I've never heard of a natural way of preventing/killing ticks that really gives results. You can buy Frontline or K9 Advantix (my fav) to kill any ticks that come in contact with your dog. If you find a live tick, I'd suggest dropping it into some alcohol--it kills them pretty quickly and is the only really effective way to kill them.

The ticks can come in on your clothing or if you have a cat. Also they could ride in on the pup. How do you stop them? You cannot. All you can do is protect your dog with tick repellent such as K-9 Advantix which serves as a repellent for ticks, it does not just prevent the biting of them. Also be certain to check yourself very well for ticks daily.

If you use frontline on the dogs before the ticks become a problem, then there will be no ticks in the house. You can put Sevin dust on the floors, leave it on overnight and vaccuum it up in the morning. Next time, use frontline and there will be no tick problem.

Well why don't you start with a simultaneous cleansing of your pets as well...if you feed them vegetables, rice or porridge etc. add some pcs. of chopped garlic in their food to get rid of the ticks or any other parasities! 'Coz everytime they'll go out for a walk , they'll get more ticks into ur home!

So try doin' this...its very helpful. :-)

I would only suggest frontline. It is so effective that it will also treat other dogs that are in close range. That way your dog is totally safe from bringing home another cycle after being treated.

try a pest control that does natural remedies........don't try it yourself, you'll never get them all.
