Christians: Why does the fossil record contradict creationism?

Take for example the flood. Okay, let us assume that Noah DID do everything on the bible. Lets assume that animals did get saved thanks to Noah. Now why is it that we can't find a single fossil outside of Australia where marsupials are? Ah, I know you'll say that probably because the boat landed there, but there are other species of animals (fossils) that are NOT found in Australia but in other parts.

So why is it that the Christian fossil record is so broken and incomplete?

the so-called christian record was compiled just a few centuries before the fall of roman imperialism under constantine. he called together so-called christian scholars to set the canon, that is those books which were to be included in the bible. as for a christian fossil record, there is none. fossils are actually bones and skeltons of animals which have been suffused with chemically inert material similar to stone. to become a fossil takes thousands of years, not just a few, but thousands of thousands of years. mankind, as we know him, has been here for less than twelve thousand years, which is not long enough to turn even the smallest bone into a fossil.creationism is nothing more than a religious position which has absolutly no basis in fact anywhere. the latest attempt to get god , and hence religion, back into schools is called intelligent design. this is nothing more than replaciung the word for god with the words intelligent design by those same self-professed experts who want religion (specifically creationism) to be taught instead of evolution. the major difference between the two is this, evolution explains based on scientific principles, religion makes claims based on belief but is never supported by facts.

A few of you have made some demeaning comments about Christian beliefs and how Christians handle evidence. It's too bad. For one thing, you lump all Christians together.

I for one, am a committed Christian and try to live out my Christian Faith. However, everything I have learned tells me that the bible stories (including the story about Creation) is a parable written to teach a truth. That's how they wrote back then. Science, including evolutionary theory, is not contradictory of the Christian Faith. Even the Catholic Church teaches this!!!

The fossil record doesn't contradict creationism. It simply demonstrates that living things, once created, change over time. It is plainly obvious that things cannot evolve until after they exist. Revealed truth and scientific truth can never conflict. No genuine truth can conflict with any other genuine truth.

Don't you know that Christianity went through a reformation? I know Christians that know more science than you. In fact, a lot of them, who understand and study evolution.

Stop using science as a club to hit Christians with if you understand so little about either one.

What i ought to hearken to from you is the place the Bible helps evolution? in basic terms examining the 1st financial ruin of Genesis, it relatively is totally evident that God CREATED the heavens and the earth. I'm sorry, but I don't believe it does. Rather it helps to prove creationism in the fact that you have a single animal/plant being fossilized through layers that are identified as being "millions" of years based on existing radiometric dating.

It is the conjecture and guessing scientists play. Every time they find something the analysis gets more and more complicated for no reason.

Check your research. CNN website still has the article, I just checked. Evolutionist believed they found a "missing link" marsupial fossil in Mongolia in 1998. Of course, they say it was 80 million years old. (maybe it had an expiration date on it)

The following in an excerpt from ChristianAnswers.net in regard to the fossil record:

Sufficient fossils. There is a continuing lack of evidence for Evolution despite an enormous number of fossils. Although scientists will continue to discover new varieties of fossil animals and plants, it is generally agreed that the millions of fossils already discovered (and the sediments already explored) provide a reliable indication of which way the evidence is going. That is, there will continue to be little or no fossil evidence found to support Evolutionism.

Fast strata formation. There is increasing evidence that many sedimentary rocks, which some thought took thousands or millions of years to accumulate, almost certainly were deposited in only months, days, hours, or minutes.
Rapid coal formation. The old Evolutionary theory about coal forming in swamps is wrong. There is increasing evidence that massive coal deposits were formed in deep flood waters. Various coal layers in the U.S. consist mainly of sheets of tree bark abraded from huge masses of uprooted trees. The bark layers were buried in mud and carbonized into coal. Coal formation is relatively quick when heat is applied.

Fossilization requires very special conditions. Dinosaur and other fossils could not have formed in the way suggested by most Evolutionary books. Animals almost never fossilize unless they are buried quickly and deeply - before scavengers, bacteria and erosion reduce them to dust. Such conditions are highly unusual. In almost all cases, the very existence of the fossils, in the types and numbers discovered, strongly indicates catastrophic conditions were involved in their burial and preservation. Without such conditions, there seems to be no plausible way to explain their existence. Huge dinosaurs, huge schools of fish, and many diverse animals are found entombed by massive muddy sediments which hardened into rock. Almost all fossils are found in water-laid sediments.
Wrong order for evolution. It has been reported that "80 to 85% of Earth's land surface does not have even 3 geologic periods appearing in 'correct' consecutive order" for Evolution.
The fossil record does not provide evidence in support for Evolution.
