2 Part question part 2: what evidence can you give to refute the fossil record that shows the evolution of man

actual evidence here please? and first and foremost, let's dispell a common myth, there are not as many gaps in the fossil record as you hope, basically none to speak of in the evolution of human kind. The gaps come not in the fossils but in the descriptions, zoologists and evolutionary biologists either class a fossil as one thing or the next, not an intermediary, there is no gap between Australopithecus and Homo habilis, or between Homo habilis and Homo erectus, or between Homo erectus and 'archaic' Homo sapien, the gaps are only in words not fossils. Taking that into conssideration, what disproof do you have of evolutionary theory?

I think some of the responses are a little confused on the issue. I'm not at all concerned about the time scale involved, I couldn't give a crap if it happened during a two year period, what I'm wanting is serious evidence against the inter-relatedness of the fossils in the Homo line of evolution (yeah be mature please).

Ok, I'm Jewish and do not believe that humankind evolved from some other lower form such as an amoeba or a fish. Evolutionary theory does not explain how all the complex mechanisms of life came about. There is another theory gaining a scientific following which indicates that the mechanisms of the physical universe seem to favor the creation of life, and specifically intelligent life.

Genesis seems to indicate that G-d created a diversity of creatures first before taking on the task of humankind. Now the Lord specifically gave Adam and Eve a soul but what about the body. Logically would not G-d use his previous creations as a template for the body of man. Why not use an ape like creature as that template because the people he was creating had to have a means to survive and flourish in the physical world. Dolphins are reputed to have high intelligence but they can't create buildings or write etc because they don't have hands or feet and can't walk on the earth.

I'm sure you are going to reject everything I just said but if you want to believe that the complexity of life is an accident, than I guess nothing will convince you otherwise.

sounds like you replied your man or woman question......notwithstanding; I examine those days that some German Scientists were waiting to isolate some DNA from a Neanderthal guy. because the Neanderthal valley is there they have a number of bones. besides; they were no longer more than chuffed to discover that the Neanderthals were no longer concerning to in demand guy in any respect. They couldn't even professional-create with cutting-edge guy. i think this little glitch contained in the fossil record would properly be considered basically descriptive incredibly than a gap distinctly if you're a real believer. Simple, how does one fossil survive through two or three different time periods? Example, they have found thousands of leafs that were fossilized with a portion of the leaf in one time period, the center in another, and a portion in another. How could one leaf survive decomposition through so many millions of years? This can only be explained catastrophically, the layers do not represent time periods, but layers of mud caused by turbidity during a flood. (Ever heard of Noah?) The answers are simple, it's man that wishes to complicate them.

The very name brings to mind images of untold ages past. . . dinosaurs roaming ancient swamps. . . slow but steady progression as simple sea life was transformed into today's complex variety. Is this an accurate reconstruction of the past of the past or is a worldwide flood the correct explanation of the fossil record?

This article is one of many found within Mr. Malone's excellent book, Search for the Truth. Fossils are the preserved evidence of past life. They are found in every part of the world, including the tops of the highest mountains. They may be as simple as a seashell which has left a permanent impression in sandstone or as grandiose as a giant plesiosaur whose bones have turned to rock after rapid burial. The fossils themselves tell us neither their age nor how they became encased in the rock layers. Rather, they must be interpreted within some view of earth history. Many people have been led to believe that the existence of fossils proves that millions of years have passed. In reality, fossils can form quite rapidly. Heat and pressure from rapid burial can accelerate the fossilization process. Geologic conditions following a worldwide flood would have exceeded anything imaginable today and must have led to the rapid fossilization of the plants and animals on a massive scale.

Fossilization can happen rapidly under the right conditions, but it is a rare event today. Yet there are mass burial sites throughout the world that are tightly packed with millions of fossils. Apparently, billions of organisms were washed together by the mass destruction of the worldwide flood, completely buried, and rapidly fossilized. These massive and extensive fossil graveyards would be the predictable result of a worldwide flood, but would hardly fit the slow accumulation model which continues to be taught as the primary explanation of the fossil record. Something dramatically different must have happened in the past to have caused the wide spread fossilization which we find all over our planet. Noah's flood would have been this event.

Geologists and paleontologists operating from a Christian worldview acknowledge the possibility that a worldwide catastrophe buried unimaginable amounts of plants and animals. This was the disaster documented in the first book of the Bible. It lasted at least one year and had reverberations which lasted for centuries. Sea creatures would have been buried first (the salinity and temperature of the oceans would have changed during the catastrophe, wiping out massive numbers of these sea creatures). Even after the flood, plant and animal extinction would have been common as many types of creatures failed to adapt to dramatically changing conditions.

Although any order of burial in a flood would be possible, the general tendency would be for sea life to be buried in the lower rock layers and land animals to be buried in different rock layers corresponding to their ecological niche. This tendency is generally found.

Creation geologists (and there are many of them) believe that the majority of the geologic record is a result of geologic activity during and subsequent to the year-long worldwide flood. This flood would have been an incredible complex event.

Geologist and paleontologists operating from an evolutionary world view acknowledge local catastrophes, but do not allow consideration of a worldwide flood. This would wipe out the "slow change over eons of time" interpretation of the fossils which is needed to continue believing in evolution.

Only one interpretation of the evidence can be correct and only one interpretation of the evidence agrees with what the Bible claims is the history of our planet.

First off, you start by making a very large assumption that there are no gaps. In fact there are quite a few acknowledged by even the leading evolutionists.

Fossils don't prove evolution. If you find a fossil, all you know is that it died. You don't know if it had ANY kids. Let alone, kids other than it's own kind. In a junk yard i may find an old tire, and a basketball. They're both round and made of rubber so they MUST be related, right?
