Can someone really be considered telepathic?

Question

A man told me he was telepathic and he was seeing some dirty things in his mothers mind. I am in the Criminal justice field and feel that this is how certain murders occur am i wrong or do i need to worry?

I believe so. I think we all have the potential to be telepathic, but to be considered telepathic someone would have to have honed this capability to near-perfection. Once I was busy reading a menu, while I was out with some foreign friends (this was in another country) and they were talking to each other. At one point I started laughing at funny story one of them had just told....only to get stunned looks from both, because they had been speaking in their language....which up until a few days ago I had never even heard spoken! I can only assign it to telepathy.

definitly. unfortunnately, the scientific community is still unable to answer it definitively because they can't repeat it consistantly within a laboratory environment. they have yet to realize that it is not something that can be turned on and off like a light bulb.
developing such a gift requires years of learning and practice, and their must be a recipient and a sender to get it to work properly. that is not what science accepts as proof, because it isn't always able to be done at will.

there is a great difference between picking up small amounts of information from someone ... and seeing dirty thoughts
one has to ask when and how we draw the line between telepathy and excuse or wishful thinking
the only way to know this is with validation
if i feel i am thinking things from my sisters point of view , i would phone her and ask her " did you just think this or do this a moment ago ? "
without that validation , there is no way of knowing
