my cousin has a male b.c and he is cranky
the vet has advised her to get him fixed and that will stop him being carnky when touching his toys, food ect.
i personaly think that your dog thinks he is top dog in you house hold,
lay down some rules he feeds after you,ect
with the door problem sit him at at the door when you open it and he goes to dart out shut it again keep doing this for as long as it takes till he learns he only gets out when he is sitting patiently and you go through the door first.

I have a dog, and he has selective hearing and listening, he only listens when he wants something. I think he is spoiled. Maybe you could bribe him to listen to you for treats he likes. If hes a puppy he might be teething. You should take him to the vet for a check-up

mad dogs are bad dogs! if it's a male he's going to try and dominate you and the other dog and your family. the dog is trying to be pack leader & and you the pack. that should be the other way around. for more information watch the "Dog Whisperer" on "National Geographic" great show for any dog owner!!

I have a dog. He doesn't listen to me much either. Maybe he's just a little weird. It probably doesn't mean there's anything wrong with him. He's just a hyper dog.

always reward for positive behaviour and make sharp "uh- uh" noises when he does something bad. TO get his attention try calling him in very high pitched sing-song and when he does pay attention give him a reward and then get him to do what you want him to. First of all practise the getting his attention so that eventually he doesn't do this for a treat.

you don't say the age or any details...try bevavior training lessons..they work wonders and train the dog and gives you confidence with you being the dog's master and not the reverse.

Well if he's a puppy, it will take awhile to train him. Give him space and patience and he'll learn to love you.
