If you had the power to walk into a non-Christian home and take the children away so that they could be raised in a Christian home, and it was all legal so you wouldn't be facing any kind of charges, and you knew that this was the only hope that these kids would have Jesus in their life. Would you do it to save the children from a eternity in Hell?

Christians have already done this... they stole children from native american homes and put them in abusive indian schools. It didn't save them from hell, it hurt them immesureably.

Of course not!. As a Christian, I realize that I don't save people from Hell, God does. I also realize God can reach soemone without my intervention. The Church is full of people that were not raised in Christian homes, but found God anyway. There are also plenty of people raised in Christian homes that never enter a personal relationship with Christ.

In this situation, I would try to reach out to the parents. If that were not possible, so be it. Nonetheless, it is always in God's hands. I would also keep the entire family in prayer.

Also, as a Christian, I would fight legislation that would allow someone to take the child in this manner.

Your questions makes an interesting point. I will be curious to see the responses. I would like to address one thing before this gets started. Christians can't save any one not even themselves.
Jesus is the only one born into perfection and He Saves. Being Christian does not make one the savior of others.

Absolutely not---that's not really working on faith, is it? It's very 'human' to assume that God is not going to find some other way to introduce a child to Jesus just because they're not being exposed to Christ in their home. Ripping a child away from their family--so long as they are a loving, providing family--Christian or not, is not a very Godly thing to do. I think it sends a message to the child that God's not a very nice God if he sends people into their home to take them away from their parents--it would certainly turn me off of Christianity.

Please don't call yourself a christian if you think that. You cannot save anyone, Jesus is the one who saves and He does not want you shoving your idea of christianity down anyones throats.

Those who have ears to hear are chosen to hear and you can try all you want to save someone but then its not you who died on the cross but Jesus Christ. You should also know that heaven is full of children and no children who passes away goes to hell, hell is a man made concept, and properly translated means a hole in the ground, in the old days they used to dig holes outside of towns and burn rubish there, they used to call it hades or hell, a hole in the ground with a fire that burns day and night. Man ran away with that idea and incorporated into religions to keep their church goers from turning from the church's faith, not from christianity from the church's doctrine two very seperate things. Peace be with you

Would I "do evil so that good might come"?

No. Not a chance in LL.

You're wearing the Darth Vader mask. Did you SEE Episode 3? That is the kind of thinking that led to Anakin Skywalker's fall. He was told if he killed the Jedi children, he would be able to save his pregnant wife and unborn child. He fell for it.

Evil can NEVER produce good.

That's sound like living in a communist country and forcing people to believe what you believe in. If that's God's intention, the world that He created will be set up like that in the beginning of time.

So that's not even an option. Christianity was never been based on force. Our only responsibility is to proclaim our faith in God and the Gospel. The rest of what will happen to anyone who hears is their choice. God is a gentleman and has never forced anyone to be robots nor to be aggressors.

I wouldn't put it past them. Christians think they should have all the power to wipe all other religions off of the earth. But ask them a thought out, researched answer about their religion and they get tongue tied. They are taught that they are superior to all others and not to question their religion. If it's in the bible, it has to be true. I have never gotten an answer as to why the Old Testament is read and studied by Christians when they say it is irrelevant because of the New Testament.

I don't want to see not one person go to hell at all..But I don't have the power to control any person or tell them how to live..I am sure they wouldn't apporve of how I live. But it isn't about how you live now it is about how you will live when you die..Love is one strong emotion,I wish some people on here would see that it isn't about who is right and wrong,I truly know there is a hell and a heaven and I want people to go to heaven..Jesus will and can show himself to anyone...

God isnt so weak that this would be the "only hope" to save those children. Come on now. Ask a harder question.

Christians can't save anyone. We can share our faith and our personal experience but the decision to trust Jesus if left to the individual.
