because some people are narrow-minded

there is the trancendant those things that words cannot describe.
Then there are those who try and describe what cannot be decribed with words that dont do it justice.
then there is talking about the weather.
The best things cannot be told
the second best are misunderstood because they are trying to describe what can only be felt in the heart.
the third things we talk about are weather and politics and stuff like that.
When we are not on the same feild of perception we misunderstand and assume where talking about differant things when in fact we are talking about the same thing.
They are just trying to talk about the life experiance they have had that makes them feel alive.
You might try the same thing. Open your mind to the trancendant and describe it back with them from your point of veiw in a few moments there will either be uncomfortable silence or a meeting of the minds. Either way
it is better than talking about the weather or gossip that is just mind numbing boring.
And if your judging them for being relgious You are the one with the demons They can talk about whatever they choose it is a free country. If there topic bothers you. then you are the ones with the buttons getting pushed. What are you angry at. What are you afraid of. If there were no issues inside of you. You would not be bothered they might as well be talking about the color of tile. but something in you is letting it bother you. What is that. thats the question.

Are you asking? If you post a question expect their own personal religious views. Most want to share their faith because they have so much love for God.

Are you asking? As a Christian, it is my job to share the Gospel of Jesus. But, usually, I only do it when the situation is right. I try to let the Holy Spirit guide me. Try being the operative word here, sometimes I fail.

Some people feel the need or obligation to share or most likely convert you to their faith. I feel this is something rather personal. I do not feel it's right or justified for anyone to try to convert you or proselytize you. People, if they are truly religious should learn to respect other's faith's. To me it's rather impulsive and wrong.

Jesus told Christians that we are to go and tell the world.

Two sides to this coin:

It is my obligation to Christ my Lord to tell everything I know about HIm

It is not my obligation to pound people with guilt and shame in order to completely decimate them into seeing Christ's love. There is no point in that.

I am sorry for whoever has pushed themselves at you. My simple answer is this: you (a person) may not have asked, but Christ (God) commanded. I have to prioritize

hope this helps.

Because when someone feel so strongly about something they believe in then they want want everyone to feel that way. they think that it is the one true way of thinking, so everyone must think that way, or else.

I don't know if I explained this correctly but it's the best I can do right now. Hope it helps.

For the same reason that they would throw you a life preserver if you were swimming in a river with a steep waterfall up ahead--they want to help you to live instead of die.

because in a lot of religions you can't be a member unless you are doing just that. for instance i had a frend that joined up with the jehova's witnesses and she was actually required to spend so much time knocking doors before they would baptise her.
isn't that crazy?

Be more specific. If you mean in the "real world" its usually because the laws of their faith, require them to.

If you mean on Y!answers, then its because when someone posts a question, then they were asked...
