Because no one has a copyright on it, so it isn't tracked the same way that copyrighted works are.
Yes, that is really the reason.

Goodness sake, don't you know where the Amazon top 10 come from? It isn't meant to keep the Bible up there. It presents NEW works that are popular.
What a nonsense argument. Have you even looked into the number of Bibles published each year or are you simply throwing out another anti-Christian attack to satisfy some need of yours. Why ARE you so needy about this? Do you think anyone is actually impressed with these arguments? Now Guiness has to put the Bible in it's pages?

Did you ask Amazon or NYT why?
Perhaps they do not include the Bible in their Top 10 or Best Sellers list.
Most people who buy Bibles do not use Amazon or Barns & N. or other national bookstores. They would use Lifeway, Family Christian, Crossroads, or online Bible Book Stores.

Reason being, that the Holy Bible is the best selling book of all time day after day, year after year. It is understood to be #1 on every list out there. It is also as one poster said, not copyrighted material and therefore does not fit the guidelines of being on one of those lists. Its kind of like Bob Marley's greatest hits or Dark Side of the Moon, it will always outsell other books so it is kind of pointless to constantly have it there anyway.

How many homes have the bible in it? How about Hotels? The Bible has been in print for a very long time. I doubt Gutenberg was printing up any of the New York Times Best Selling books.

Seems to me a book that has been around for 2000 years would be the longest published book.
You cannot deny that fact.
You have not seen anything.

Because it is said to have been written by god which puts it above amazon and NYT best sellers if you believe that god wrote it. Some people still believe that it was written by god.

For one thing, because there are a million different versions. Kinda makes you wonder.. if the bible is supposed to be god's eternal word, why is it in constant revision?

Because the liberal media does not want to give the Bible (word of God) credit.
