well, how old are you?
Teenager/ young adult? You can try for some bean bags, and a small round table about 12-24 inches in diameter. (they sell ottomans, that look and can be used as tables. It can come in pretty handy when you have a guest over, and you're getting into some deep conversations.
Or a fun coffee table, you can paint, white or baby blue or light green, and draw on it, or have your guests sign it, or make little memories.
If you're older, a nice Yoga carpet, or an off beat rug is nice..
Older peopel dont spend most of their time in their room.
Uh, Even a nice decorative Chest, and put some Albums in it. or use it as a table, and storage in one.

Congrats on cleaning your room! I'd get a bright-colored rug for the blank floor space (for starters). You might get a comfy chair for the extra space, maybe with a footrest. There are a lot of cool-looking ones out there now. Pottery barn teen has good ideas. Its stuff is a little pricey, but it's a good place to start for ideas: go to pbteen.com. I would def start with a good chair, because those are fun and always cute. If you've still got room, maybe add some stuff that reflects you--your hobbies, for instance. If you're into sports, get a miniature basketball hoop or a fuseball table. :) If you're into crafts, maybe create a cool area for keeping your supplies and displaying your creations. Like designing clothes? Get a dressmaker's model (pbteen has these) or a mannequin--things like that add flavor and are fun, too. Set up an art easel or something...get creative!
Hope some of those ideas help--have fun decorating!!

It's been said but a nice carpet really gives a room volume and you may want to get a couple of bean bag chairs and a small table. Don't put too much stuff in there as you don't want to have more to clean up next time.

a carpet blanket w/ a pattern would look nice on the floor.
Or add a desk w/ chair and light.
Or add a dresser with mirror.
Or add a small recliner w/ a night stand, you can relax there. Try not to have the room to full w/ furniture, you don't want it to look cluttered.

Do as so many friends do.....place a couple of good lounge chairs and set up a TV....good books all around and a stereo system to boot.....consider yourself a lucky person.

Enjoy it.
Eventually something will find it's place there...perhaps a pool table or something. Pool tables are a great 'filler' of space and they can have multiple uses.
