ok so i have like REALLY thick hair! i have it layered, and the only thing that works for it is straightening...when i try to curl it it just goes wild! naturally it's half straight and wavy, but the waves go in opposite directions. do you know any good products that hold it well??

DON'T HAVE YOUR HAIR THINNED! Too many hair stylists have no idea how to do this properly. I saw one actually cut the last two inches of a women's head hair completely off! Gross!!!

You say your hair is layered now, with half of it straight and half only wavy, all going in the wrong direction? Why don't you try getting a loose curl perm? One that will give you loose ringlets instead of tight frizz. This will get your own recalcitrant curls under control at least.

When I have long hair, I often resort to this type of perm, as I have unruly curls myself that go every which way, except a nice looking one.

You should also make sure that you never brush your hair. Instead try styling it with an Afro pick. They allow you to somewhat tame curls without frizzing them out (unless that is what you want).

A good product to consider is Frizz Eaze. It really does keep curly hair from frizzing.

first of all the girls in magiznes are just fake hair (wigs) and don't ever put oil in your hair its bad for your hair , it may look good then but your hair will get all greasy. Sadly enough life is hard but the best way to keep your hair out is bobbie-oins or clips and make it simple is what works best! I hope your hair turns out great!

It is hard to go against what you where born with. You can use a alcohol free gel and blow dry then use a curling iron {make sure you curl small sections at a time} spray each curl with hairspray and allow it to dry completely. Them distribute your curls without brushing them and spray again. If you want your style to last and be less time consuming then go to a professional and ask what options you have.

You need to see a stylist to get the best take on what to do for your hair. A little mouse used when you wash it and a difussing dry should also help in the mean time.

I heard on the Tyra show you can use a mascera brush on small tufts of the hair or even mascera on other areas to make you hair stay put.

I think there are good hair sprays around that can keep your hair still until you wash it.
